This course is designed for training Hong Kong animators and is vocational-oriented. The course is a two-year program taught in Cantonese with a small class teaching mode. The course focuses on teaching the basic theory and techniques of comics, illustrations, and 2D animation, and aims to cultivate students' basic drawing and animation knowledge and production skills. The course consists of 16 subjects, and the total course time for the first year is 360 hours.

*The main course of this unit (DIPLOMA IN COMMERCIAL COMICS, ILLUSTRATIONS AND ANIMATION) has been recognized under the Qualifications Framework at level 3.

Admission Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years old; and
• Completed Form 5 in the old senior secondary curriculum or Form 6 in the new senior secondary curriculum, or possess a Form 3 qualification and pass the assessment based on the personal works submitted during the interview; and
• Basic knowledge of computer operating systems; and
• Must pass the interview.

Note: For students who are not yet 18 years old before the course commences, their parents/guardians must complete and sign the Admission Consent Form.
