A senior animation artist who began independent animation creation in 1977, with works winning the animation group championship in four consecutive Hong Kong Independent Short Film Festivals and joining the jury. The following year, he joined the television department of Radio Television Hong Kong as an animator until 1993. Since the 1980s, he has also been a commentator and researcher of animation history, publishing a large number of texts related to animation, and has served as a professor of animation at the Hong Kong Arts Centre, the University of Hong Kong's General Education Program, and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
In recent years, he has been actively promoting the creative animation culture industry in Hong Kong and organizing anime exhibitions, with his recent exhibition being the "50 Years of Hong Kong-Taiwan Animation" where he was the curator. He is currently the Secretary-General of the Hong Kong Animation Industry and Culture Association.
